Rules & Regulations

Students are bound to observe the General regulations and other Rules of Discipline of the School / College. They are also bound to observe the regulations which the Management may frame from time to time. In particular, their attention is drawn to the following:

- Primary & High school timing Every working day from Monday to Friday is divided into two sessions. The morning session commences at 9.15 a.m. and concludes at 12.25 p.m. and the afternoon session lasts from 12.55 p.m. to 3.15 p.m. with a lunch break of 30 minutes i.e. from 12.25 p.m. to 12.55 p.m. co-curricular activities will be held on appointed days in the morning from 8.30am to 9.10am in the evening from 3.15 to 4.00pm the working hours on Saturday are from 9.15a.m to 12.40p.m
- The time between 8.30 a.m. to 8.55 a.m. will be study hour. Students should sit in their respective classrooms and spend the time in useful study. No student should be found loitering about or idling away the study time. They are expected to be on time for classes. Late comers will be marked absent.
- PU section timing Monday to Friday -9:15a.m to 12:50p.m Lunch break -12:50p.m to 1:30p.m Afternoon session 1:30p.m to 3:10p.mfor commerce student 4.00p.m for science student Saturday 9:15a.m to 12.00 noon
- In Degree section timing the lecture session are from 9:15 a.m to 12:15 pm ant from 1:15 pm to 4:15 pm time table details will be notified as necessary
- There will be School / College assembly on Tuesday. Students who do not attend the School / College assembly will be marked absent for the forenoon session.
- On the teacher’s arrival into the classroom, students must rise and remain standing till they are asked to sit, or till the teacher takes his / her seat. When the attendance roll is called each one must rise and answer to his name.
- There is mid day meal facility in the high school under akshara program
- A student is not permitted to enter any classroom other than his own without permission.
- Punctual and regular attendance is insisted upon. Leave of absence from School / College must be applied for previously in the form supplied in the hand book.
- When students have to be absent from School / College without leave for some reason not foreseen earlier e.g. illness, they must send their leave note to the Principal by post duly signed by their parent.
- Absence without leave from tests and examinations and at the time of reopening of classes after the holidays shall be viewed seriously. In case of illness, a medical certificate shall be produced.
- Students marked ‘absent’ shall continue to be so marked until they produce an order from the Principal or other authority deputed for the purpose to be marked ‘present’.
- Students are not permitted to leave the School / College before time either during the morning or afternoon sessions unless leave is requested by the parents or guardians personally for valid reasons. But such leave should not exceed more than two periods in case of Primary and High School studentsand one hour in case of P.U.C students. This is to be done with the written permission of the Principal.
- Irregular attendance, insubordination to teachers / lectures, habitual inattention to school-work, obscenity in word or act are sufficient reasons for the temporary or permanent dismissal of a student.
- The School / College does not hold itself responsible for the student’s conduct outside its premises. In justice however it takes cognizance of any serious misconduct of its students committed outside its precinets and, should any serious charge be fairly substantiated, the guilty shall be punished according to the gravity of the offence.
- Progress Records will be issued after the tests and mid session examination. They shall be returned to the class teacher duly signed by the parent or guardian within 3 days of their issue.
- The prescribed School / College uniform should be worn on all days by the students.. A student will not be permitted to sit in the class without the prescribed College / School uniform. They should cut their hair from time to time and brush neatly.
- Students must respect the members of the staff and salute them on meeting them for the first time during the day.
- Books, magazines, newspapers & articles not approved by the Principal should not be brought to the School / College.
- The use of tobacco in any form, eating Ice cream, Ice candy, chewing gum or other eatables within the school premises other than the stipulated hours is forbidden.
- Students must possess a copy of the School / College Hand Book which is to be brought to class on all working days. They are not permitted to tear any page from the hand book.
- Students are expected to speak in English or Kannada within School / College premises in order to improve the language.
- Students must equip themselves with a complete outfit of everything that is necessary for their studies. They must use their own materials and be responsible for their safety. The School / College cannot make itself responsible for books, money, clothes and other articles that are lost.
- Students must take care of the School / College property. Damages should be made good.
- Attendance at Value Education classes and Examination is obligatory to all students.
- Students who depend on public conveyance to come to the School / College should leave their homes early enough to avoid peak hours and at the School / College well in time.
- Students must not join any club or society or make any engagements outside School / College that would interfere with their studies without the Principal’s permission. They are not allowed to play in any team against the School / College.
- Students are not allowed to take part in political agitation directed against the authority of the lawful Government.
- The catholic students are advised to go to confession at least once a month and to Mass andCommunion every day if possible.
- At the beginning of the morning and evening session all must stand and pray devoutly. They shall stand respectfully for the National Anthem at the end of the evening session.
- Letters officially addressed to the Principal must be accompanied by reply enclosed postage.
- Students should adhere to the discipline of the School / College whole-heartedly. They should follow the bells scrupulously, particularly the bells rung after the recess, both in the forenoon and the afternoon. They should never leave the School / College premises during these intervals.
- Attendance at classes and examinations, progress as well as conduct of the students will be taken into consideration while recommending the students for merit certificate, concessions, scholarships and freeships.
- Cleanliness of the classrooms and School / College premises is also essential for the proper and smooth functioning of the Institution. Therefore students should keep their classrooms, corridors and the playground clean and tidy. Dustbins should be used to throw the waste.
- To improve students reading and knowledge, the school provides a good collection of books in the school library. Books should be read and returned well intact. Penal fee will be collected for the damaged and lost ones.
- Cell Phone is strictly prohibited within the classroom and campus. If found, they will be confiscated and will not be returned.
- Explosives of any kind (even crackers) are banned within School Campus.
